Made in Texas The Larson Electronics EPLMPD-4803P-45KVA-240.208.120-2X240V.30A-8X120.20 hazardous location power transformer substation converts 480V AC three phase electrical current to three phase 240/208-120V AC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This substation is equipped with a C1D1 disconnect, a C1D2 480V to 120V 45 KVA encapsulated transformer, C1D2 125-amp main panel, two 30-amp, 240V C1D1 receptacles and ten 20-amp, 125V C1D1 receptacles. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* Operation: The 20’ #4 SOOW line-in cable brings 480V power to the 60-amp Class 1, Division 1 main disconnect, which is fused at 60 amps and is protecting the 45 KVA transformer. The Class 1, Division 2 resin encapsulated transformer converts 480V 3-phase power to 240/208-120V three phase and passes the current to the secondary panel. The Class 1, Division 2 125-amp main circuit breaker panel contains two 30-amp, 240V breakers protecting two 30-amp, 240V, 3W4P receptacles, and ten 20-amp, 120V breakers protecting ten Class 1, Division 1 20-amp 5-20 receptacles. Protective Construction: Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and load assembly is mounted on a 1/4" thick non-sparking aluminum plate mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" x 1/8" square non-sparking aluminum tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, 6" anti-static locking polyurethane casters, and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced with stainless steel or hot dip galvanized steel for an additional cost. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Ten 20-amp 125V C1D1 explosion proof receptacles allow operators to power up to ten devices equipped with 5-15P or 5-20P explosion proof cord caps. The C1D1 receptacles are of a spring loaded and twist lock design. Operators must push the C1D1 plug deep into the receptacle and twist, locking it into place before the plug will make electrical contact. This ensures no arks can occur outside of the enclosure.
