Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MGS-30KVA-10X120-1X240 heavy duty power transformer substation converts three-phase 480V AC electrical current into three-phase 208Y/120V. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* Portable Power Distribution Purpose and UseThe MGS-30KVA-10X120-1X240 temporary power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 240 volt and 120 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480 volt line-in power using 20` of #8 Type W cord. On the secondary side, operators are provided access to one L15-30R receptacle for 240V equipment and ten 5-20R GFCI duplex receptacles for 120V equipment. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers. Operation: A 20` #8 Type W line-in cord brings 480V three-phase power into the NEMA 3R 60-amp, 480V three phase primary disconnect, which contains three 50-amp time delay fuses, and passes power to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 30 KVA transformer converts 480V to 208Y/120V three phase and passes the current to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 100-amp, 208Y/120V three phase main lug only panel. This secondary panel contains one 30-amp, 250V breaker protecting one 30-amp, 250V, L15-30R receptacle and ten 20-amp, 125V breakers protecting ten 20-amp, 125V, 5-20R GFCI duplex receptacles. Protective Construction: The transformer and distribution assembly is mounted onto a rugged carbon steel frame with integrated skid pockets and a top located lifting eyelet to allow easy transport. The standard frame construction is _ inch thick, 3 inch square tubing frame. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customers needs. This power distribution system is designed for outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, plant maintenance, hazardous location operations, as a welding station, shows, exhibits, and marine applications. Certification: Larson Electronics is a UL 1640 panel shop and certified to build portable power distribution systems. All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upond request. Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground. ~Please check all motor loads for dual rated motors that will work 208 or 240.~ Applications: This power distribution system is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations.
