Made in Texas The Larson Electronics MGL-25K-8X120.20 Temporary Power Distribution System converts 480 VAC electrical current to single phase 120V AC and 240V AC 60hz. This power distribution system provides operators the ability to run up to eight 20-amp, 120V tools or devices. This portable substation is suitable for outdoor applications with a fully potted transformer and a dust protected NEMA 4 load center. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning, equipment installations and repairs, etc. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480V 60hz which it then steps down to single phase 120 VAC. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 120VAC available via eight 20-amp, 120v GFCI protected duplex receptacles. Twenty feet of Type-W line-in power cord is included to connect the substation to a primary 480VAC primary power supply. A fused disconnect switch provides primary line protection and supplies primary power to the 25 KVA NEMA 3R transformer. Secondary current is wired to a NEMA 4 (dust protected), 120/240v, 1 phase, 100-amp load center with main breaker for circuit protection. 120/240 line out protection is provided by eight 20-amp, 125 Volt, 1-pole breakers. These breakers protect eight 125V 20-amp 5-20 GFI outlets with weatherproof covers. This power distribution system conforms to UL 1640. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated steel tubing, dolly cart style frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two rubber tires and dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift eye allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150kva and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R/4 rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations.
