This IR LED light includes 2 high powered 3 Watt LED emitters potted into an aircraft grade aluminum chassis that is designed to protect the LED and dissipate heat. Even after running for a several hours, the lenses are only mildly warm. The value in this IR LED fixture is in the power and form factor. At 4.1 inches wide by 3.2 inches tall, by 2.5 inches deep, this fixture draws only a 1/2 amp on 12 volts and puts out an infrared beam that reaches 245 feet. You can mount these just about anywhere traditional lights won`t fit. Ideal for boats, wreckers, utility vehicles and construction equipment for work area illumination. Ideal military applications include IR trailing lights for convoy oriented vehicles. Another unique feature of this IR LED light is that the side brackets enable the operator to connect multiple units together. Thus, operators can combine any number of units to achieve the power and dimensions required for most any application. Suspended on top of an adjustable u-bracket, this LED light can be adjusted and tightened into any position to suit your application. A single stud protrudes from the bottom of the u-bracket mount, enabling the operator to install the light using a simple through hole mount. In other words, the light can be installed anywhere a 1/4 inch hole can be drilled. The LED10W-2S-IR is equipped with dual 3 watt LEDs while drawing less than 1/2 amp, due to advanced electronic drivers. The LED light has a 50,000 hour life span and accepts input voltage ranging from 9 to 48 volts. This includes 12 volts or 24 volts. The rugged aluminum extrusion housing provides optimum durability and heat dissipation. IP68 ingress protection rated housing makes this IR LED light impenetrable to dust and submersible under water up to 3 meters. The unbreakable polycarbonate lenses are housed by a 6061 aluminum face plate which doubles as a radiant heat sink to melt away snow and ice in frigid conditions. These LED lights are certified to 6G RMS with vibration tests to ensure performance in high impact conditions.
