Made in the USA The Larson Electronics WAL-TP-1X6670-120-25 Tripod Mounted Light Tower comes complete with an IP67 rated 70 watt HID light head mounted onto an aluminum tripod that the operator can extend them to any height between 3.5 and 10 feet. and produces a 6,300 lumen flood of light capable of illuminating an area 400’ in length by 400’ feet in width. This unit is multi-voltage capable and can be used with either 12 or 24VDC while an included inline transformer allows operation with common 110VAC wall outlet current. This tower is fitted with an IP67 rated 70 watt HID floodlight that creates a total of 6,300 lumens of bright white light and provides light coverage for an area 400’ long by 400’ wide. Also available is a spot configuration for a much longer and tighter light beam. The HID lamp on this unit is mounted to a single removable mounting bracket that can be easily detached from the tower for stowing or transport. The heavy duty aluminum tripod is durable, lightweight and adjustable to any length between 3 feet and 10 feet. A single mounting bracket holds the HID light and allows the light to be adjusted and aimed through a full range of motion. This adjustability allows users to expand the area covered or to focus more intense coverage on a smaller area. The tripod legs can be collapsed and the light head bracket removed with the light still on it for simple portability and deployment. The heavy duty construction of this tripod and the light weight of the aluminum HID fixture results in a portable yet very stable lighting platform that will hold its position, even in very windy conditions. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting. Durability: The WAL-TP-1X6670-120-25 tripod mounted light tower incorporates our IP67 rated, 70 Watt HID work light on a collapsible aluminum tripod. These HID lights have a 70 watt HID bulb producing 6,300 lumen each, which produce a wide area flood beam with exceptional spread. Optional spotlight versions produce a much longer and tighter spotlight beam. These weatherproof HID lights are IP67 rated and sealed against intrusion by dust and dirt and very ruggedly constructed to withstand the most demanding environments, conditions and applications. The HIDs have a 12G RMS vibration proof rating which is achieved by a combination of the various rubber bushings on the mounts of the HID units and the inherent durability of the HID lamps. Since HID lamps have no fragile filaments that can break or burn out they are much more resistant to damage from vibrations and impacts than normal incandescent lamps. Mounting: The HID light head on this unit is mounted to a single removable bracket that allows the user to simply remove the entire light assembly from the tripod for easy stowing and transport. This HID light can be adjusted to provide maximum coverage or maximum intensity. Power: Included with this unit is our DCP-16 110V 50/60hz power supply wired inline to the HID light which allows this tower to be operated with standard 110 VAC power found in common wall outlets. Essentially, this means the operator can use this tower anywhere a wall plug in is available or, by disconnecting the step down transformer, he/she can power this HID light tower from any vehicle, equipment, ATV or boat electrical system. You do not need to anything special to operate these light bars in their multi-voltage 12-24 Volt configuration. They will sense the incoming voltage and adapt accordingly. If operator decides he/she would like to run off 12-24 VDC, all he/she has to do is disconnect the transformer and directly connect the lights to a 12-24 VDC power source.This tower is equipped with a waterproof single switch controller that allows operators to power the lights on or off without having to unplug the tower. While our larger WAL-C-2XM 2000 watt metal halide lights on telescoping tripods cover more area, they are typically paired with large portable electrical distribution panels, transformers or diesel generators. The noise, fumes and high wattage electrical cabling usually requires that the operator positions the portable light tower at some distance from the work area or event. While these LED light towers produce less light coverage than the large metal halide lights, they can be placed right next to the work area, event or operators, so the overall effective illumination will be greater.
