The Larson Electronics EPL-AEB-12.12.8-1X2S-2X1S-4XTP.375 Explosion Proof Enclosure provides operators with a Class I and II, Divisions 1 and 2 copper-free aluminum enclosure designed to hold electrical equipment up to 12" by 12" by 8" in size. Equipped with an internal mounting pan, this NEMA 4X rated explosion proof device is ideal for indoor or outdoor applications where flammable vapors, gases, or dusts exist or stand the potential to exist. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO EXPLOSION PROOF ENCLOSURES* The EPL-AEB-12.12.8-1X2S-2X1S-4XTP.375 explosion proof enclosure is made of copper-free aluminum and includes a watertight gasket for a NEMA 4X protection rating. The internal cavity of this flameproof enclosure measures 12" in length by 12" in width by 8" in height. This unit caters to a maximum of 16 operators on the lid (4 rows of 4 = 16) and a maximum conduit size of 5". Equipped with a bolted cover, the grey explosion proof enclosure is compatible with surface-mount applications. This explosion proof device is designed for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2 (Groups B,C,D); Class I, Zones 1 & 2 (Groups IIB+H2,IIA); Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 (Groups E,F,G) and Class III rated combustible sites. The NEMA 4X rating makes the unit suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, as well as ensures protection from water, dust, moisture, dirt and external ice formation. A removable backplate for easy mounting of equipment outside of the enclosure can be provided at an additional cost. Hubs: The EPL-AEB-12.12.8-1X2S-2X1S-4XTP.375 contains a total of three external NPT hubs. Two 1" NPT hubs and one 2" NPT hub are located on the south side of the explosion proof enclosure. Inside the unit, operators are provided access to four taps on the internal mounting pan. Four 3/8" NPT taps can be found at each corner of the internal back plate.
