This Acro HID Off Road flood light produces a flood beam pattern. This means that the unit willproduce a beam that will produce a greater area of illumination closer to the fixture. Unlike the spot or modifiedspot beam patterns, the flood is used mostly as a work area illumination. Beam dimensions for the flood measureapproximately 275`L X 240`W, producing a much more wider beam than the spot or modified spot. Typical applications include, field illumination, off road vehicles, heavy duty equipment, boating illumination and various other applicationswhere an abundant amount of light is needed close to the unit. The HID Off Road Modified flood light is constructed of heavy duty cast aluminum with a chrome and black finish. The unit is completely sealed to prevent water or dust from entering. The HID light is completely weatherproof andcan be explosed to various weather conditions such as rain, snow, high winds, sleet, and hail. The X970 series spotlights are exceptionally durable. Off-Road vehicles are typically mounted with HIDs for maximum illumination. Note: Included wiring harness is for 12 volt systems only. Typically, 24 volt systems, including most heavy equipment installations, have existing wiring harnesses with toggle switches that areproperly rated for these lights. The 12 volt system includes a relay which handles the initial surge(12-13Amps) in 12 volt systems. This surge is not an issue on 24 volt systems.
