The WCDE-6-45-M1 Mobile Telescoping Five Stage Tower from Larson Electronics is a towable package powered by a water cooled diesel engine. During deployment, the five-stage mast is capable of extending to 45 feet and collapsing to 9 feet. The generator can run continuously without refueling for 6-7 days via a 45-gallon fuel tank. All system components are secured to a mobile trailer for seamless transportation.

The WCDE-6-45-M1 mobile tower is a self contained towable five-stage mast for outdoor and remote locations. This unit contains a water cooled diesel engine powering an 8,000 watt generator, which supplies the current to customer-provided equipment. This unit can run uninterrupted for 6-7 days straight (continuous duty) without refueling on a single tank of fuel and includes a telescoping mast for raising customer-provided equipment to a height of 45 feet. The system is designed for operation in rainy, dusty, windy and rugged environments. This mobile system is ideal for emergency services, construction, mining, industrial operations and anywhere a mobile tower solution is needed.

Telescoping Boom: The telescoping boom consists of five sections extending up to 45 feet (and collapses to 9 feet) through the use of two manual self braking winches and allows for 360 degrees of mast rotation. This winch is mounted to the trailer tongue and acts to raise the tower into a vertical position while the other is mounted to the boom and is used to extend the tower to the desired height. An accessible bracket is available for mounting a license plate with the system. A 44" T-head located at the top of the tower is available for mounting customer-provided equipment, such as lights, cameras, sensors, communication devices and more.

The telescoping boom is constructed of aluminum and is capable of withstanding 50 mph winds when extended to its full height and the stabilizing outriggers are deployed. The stabilizing outriggers are a three point design with one located under the trailer tongue and two on the rear sides of the unit. The two side outriggers are adjustable and include 3,000 lbs swivel jacks for leveling and stabilizing the tower.

Diesel Generator: The diesel engine is a water cooled Kubota that operates at 3600 RPM. This engine with a tier 4 exhaust features key operated electric starting, a full twelve volt electrical system, automatic low oil pressure and high temperature safety shutoffs, dual fuel filters and easy access oil and radiator drain ports to facilitate maintenance. A 45-gallon fuel tank allows the engine to operate for 6-7 days continuously without refueling. The 8,000 watt generator is a single bearing design and produces single-phase 120/240 volt current at 60Hz. The generator uses a four wire hookup system with an external ground allowing for setting up both electrical and mechanical safe grounding systems. Noise level is 71 dbA at 23 feet (7m).

Controls: The operations system for this unit is a centrally located control panel within the enclosure. Included is an alternator warning light, fuel primer system, preheating switch, 120 volt GFCI duplex receptacle for auxiliary power takeoff and a 240V twist lock power receptacle.

Housing: All of the operating components are housed within a protective compartment constructed of 14 gauge steel and designed to provide airflow for cooling. Stainless steel side doors with hinges provide access to the interior while latches provide secure closing while the unit is in use. The design and construction of this enclosure along with the commercial grade muffler system helps this unit operate at a low 71 Db noise level @ 23 ft. The entire unit can be loaded and unloaded onto trucks via forklift sleeves mounted to the outer section of the mast or a single lifting eyelet suitable for use with cranes. The entire unit is mounted onto a two-wheel trailer with a 3,500 lbs leaf spring axle. A standard two inch ball coupling and two standard safety chains allow for easy hookup and towing. Two sets of parts/service manuals are included with this unit.
