Made in the USAThe EXP-EMG-25W-2L Explosion Proof Emergency Light with back up emergency battery from Larson Electronics is rated Class I Division 1 Class II Division 1 & 2 and is an ideal emergency lighting solution for hazardous locations where failsafe lighting reliability is a must. The EXP-EMG-25W-2L is equipped with two 25W LED modules that each produce 2,750 lumens for a total power draw of 50 watts and 5,500 total lumens. Under emergency power, this explosion proof LED light produces 3000 lumens for 90+ minutes.The EXP-EMG-25W-2L is an ideal solution for operators who wish to ensure their hazardous workspaces employ the most effective and reliable safety lighting options available. Under normal conditions this emergency lamp uses normal external power to illuminate its two 25 watt LED lamps. In the case of power outages or in any situation where power is interrupted, this unit automatically switches to a battery backup which will power the unit for 90 minutes at 1500 lumens per lamp or until power is restored. Once power is restored a built in charger will return the unit to a fully charged state within 24 hours. Unlike the glass tube design of traditional fluorescent lamps, these LED T-Style lamps have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. The LED assembly is mounted to the "tube" constructed from extruded aluminum, with a polycarbonate lens protecting the LEDs. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than fluorescent lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions.
