The Larson Electronics MGL-HD-480.3P-30KVA-208Y.120V-50C temporary power distribution system converts three-phaseÊ480V AC electrical current into three-phase 208Y/120V AC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power.

Portable Power Distribution Purpose and Use: The MGL-HD-480.3P-30KVA-208Y.120V-50C portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480VÊusing a customer-provided cord. On the secondary side, operators may access a 50` #2 SOOW cord for line-out connections.

Operation: A customer-provided cord brings three-phase 480V power to the NEMA 3R 60-amp three-phase 480V primary disconnect, which contains three 50-amp time delay fuses, and passes power through to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 30 KVA transformer converts 480V to three-phase 208Y/120V 60Hz and passes the current to the secondary side. The secondary side of the transformer is equipped with a 50` #2 SOOW cord.

Protective Construction: The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a standard steel cart style frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two rubber tires and a cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift eye allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units can be equipped with skid pockets, wheels or trailer mounted.

Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground.

Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits and shipyard operations.
