Buy American Compliant The LEDLB-1-IR-256 LED is an infrared LED light emitter that projects an infrared beam in the 750NM, 850NM, or 940NM wavelengths. This IR LED board includes a high powered 3 watt LED emitter and LED driver. This infrared light produces a beam that can only be seen through the use of night vision goggles or equipment. The value in this IR LED fixture is in the power and form factor. This LED assembly draws only a 1/4 amp on 12 volts. A small profile, low power requirements, and high durability of LED technology makes these LED lights ideal for commercial use as well as a wide array of applications including but not limited to: military, industrial manufacturing, machine visioning and non destructive testing, security and law enforcement, and boating. Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. As a result, many manufacturers reduce the output of their LEDs to reduce the amount of heat produced. Operators must supply their own heat sink to allow proper cooling of this infrared LED assembly. Voltage Control: These units are able to adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These LEDLB series LED lights can operate on current ranging from 9 to 42VDC without any modifications necessary as a result. This multi-voltage capability makes these units ideal for mobile and standalone applications such as those found on commercial boats, heavy equipment and vehicles where power systems don’t always operate with 12 volts and external generators, transformers or inverters are impractical.
