Made in Texas The Larson Electronics MGL-480-3X50A-25KVA-120.240-4X120.20A temporary power distribution system converts 480 VAC current to single phase 120V AC and 240V AC 60 Hz. This power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC and 120V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This portable substation is suitable for outdoor applications, with a fully potted transformer and NEMA 3R load center. This power distribution system is configured to transform 480V to 240/120V Delta. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance, equipment installations and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480V, three phase, 60hz which it then steps down to single phase 120V AC and single phase 240V AC. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 120V AC available via (4) 5-20R 20A, 125V GFCI protected duplex receptacles and (3) 480V AC available via (3) CS8169 50A, 480V receptacles. Click Photo to Enlarge Click Photo to Enlarge Click Photo to Enlarge Operation: The 20` 4/4 SOOW line-in cord brings 480V three phase power to the NEMA 3R 125-amp main breaker 480V three phase primary main panel, which contains three 50-amp breakers protecting three 50-amp, 480V CS8169 receptacles and one 60-amp, 480V breaker protecting the 25 KVA transformer. The NEMA 3R 25 KVA transformer converts 480V three phase power to 120/240V single phase and passes the current to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 100-amp 120/240V single phase main lug panel. This secondary panel contains four 20-amp, 120V breakers protecting four 20-amp 5-20R GFCI protected duplex receptacles. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated steel, dolly cart style frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two run-flat rubber tires and a dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift point allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150 KVA and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits and shipyard operations.
