Lights: This solar-powered system does not come with lights. We can add flood lights, spotlights or additional infrared lights to this unit upon request and with additional costs.

PA System: This unit does not have a PA system. We can add a one-way or two-way system upon request and with additional costs.

Router/Wireless 4G Hotspot: The solar tower does not have a router or support wireless connections. We can add these capabilities at an additional cost.

GPS Tracking: This system does not feature GPS tracking (we can add GPS tracking at an additional cost).

LED Strobe: The SPLT-SKM-S2-NA-LM20-NB-M1 does not have an LED strobe light. We can add an LED strobe light (available in different colors) at an additional cost.

Mast: This telescoping five stage steel mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy a variety of equipment in locations where it must be elevated to heights up to 20` for effective coverage. This mast can be extended to 20` above the skid base for maximum area coverage, and collapsed to 12` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing. The mast is extended to its full height using a manual crank winch with 3/16" galvanized steel cable.

A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for equipment. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360¡. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with easy in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different positions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with easy, and can typically be rotated with a single hand. The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics.

The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 12`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. Custom builds can be provided for higher wind speed resistance when fully raised.

Solar Panel Assembly: Solar panels are not included with the system and must be provided by the customer. This unit contains mounting provisions for up to three, 64.9"L x 39.1"W x 1.38"H solar panels. The solar panel holders are secured to the skid frame. During deployment, two solar panels slide outwards forming a 3-panel system. One of the panels is fixed onto the skid. The customer-provided panels can be tilted upwards for maximum sunlight intake.

We can upgrade this unit to a 4-panel system by adding sliders and another panel (components are purchased separately).

Batteries: This unit does not feature any batteries. We can add batteries at an additional cost.

Solar Charge Controller: The solar-powered system does not have a charge controller. We can add one at an additional cost.

Battery Charger: The system does not have a battery charger. For systems with a battery charger, the component is plugged into the backup generator (if one is available on the model) by default. The battery charger can be unplugged for charging with local power sources.

Inverter: This unit does not have an inverter. We can add one at an additional cost.

Backup Generator: This solar tower does not have a backup generator. We offer models with gasoline, LPG/LNG or diesel backup gensets (may come with additional costs).

Enclosures: One NEMA 3R rated electrical enclosure with a hinged door is available on the skid platform for customer-provided equipment, installations and devices.

Skid Mount: All components are secured on a heavy-duty skid platform with skid pockets. Equipped with pillow block bearings, the frame features 5-degree pivot plates.

Solar Security Tower Benefits: Larson Electronics solar security towers offer up to five power sources, when equipped with a wind generator. Standard models are powered by solar panels and can be upgraded with a backup fuel generator, battery charger, wind generator or power cord for direct connection to nearby outlets (these features come with additional costs). A combination of power sources can be added to systems for increased reliability in remote areas.

A key benefit in Larson Electronics solar tower surveillance systems is the ability to save and playback recordings for documentation. When combined with routers and other communication devices, operators can easily access recordings from computers, laptops, tablets or mobile phones. Antennas may also be added for extending wireless coverage.

Compared to manpower surveillance, our solar security masts are more cost effective and consistent. This is because these units can be deployed continuously without any breaks for long periods of time and in rainy or cold outdoor conditions. As a scalable solution, it also costs less to expand coverage and monitoring duration. Manpower surveillance requires meticulous schedule management, extra overtime payment (for operations exceeding 8 hours) and does not offer reliable recording of incidents.

Applications: Live events, law enforcement, military, commercial, industrial facilities, remote locations and more.
