Made in the USA The Larson Electronics TX-3000VA-2XAO power transformer converts 120/240 VAC at 50/60hz to low voltage AC or DC power, and is ideal for powering 12/24 volt based lights and equipment. This transformer features twist lock plug design and adjustable voltage control. The TX-3000VA-2XAO power distribution system from Larson Electronics is built to provide operators with a reliable source of low voltage AC or DC power while also providing the versatility of allowing operation of standard voltage equipment. This compact power distribution transformer is designed for portability and convenience as well as durability and includes an integral carrying handle, elevated base platform for protection from standing water, and weatherproof construction that withstands direct water spray and wetness when the self sealing and weatherproof outlet covers are closed. The TX-3000VA-2XAO portable power distribution system provides 3000 Watts and converts primary 120 VAC or 240 VAC electrical current into 12, 24, or 48 Volts AC or DC. This means that this power distribution system can provide either 12-24 VDC or 12-24 VAC through its secondary output. The output side is equipped with two 520 sockets designed to accept twist lock plugs. This power transformer also incorporates an integrated adjustable voltage control which allows operators to increase the voltage levels fed to equipment from the unit to compensate for voltage drops that occur when very long length cords are used. Should operators experience drops in the intensity of illumination produced by lighting equipment because of the use of extra long cords for example, the operator can increase the voltage from 12 to 24 volts to compensate and maintain light intensity. For example, operators can use 12 volts for a 50 foot line, but can raise the voltage to 18 volts to push volatge down a 150 foot cord, so the light, for example, still receives the full 12 volts. The TX-3000VA-2XAO power distribution system ships with a 6 foot SOOW cord with standard 5-15 plug for connection to 120 VAC.
