Please scroll down for rental rates** The Larson Electronics RNT-EPL-BS-70-TP1-100 Tripod Mounted Explosion Proof Metal Halide Light is U.L. approved Class 1 2, Division 1 2 and is rated for use in wet and marine environments. The adjustable tripod mount and metal halide lamp used with this unit provides operators with excellent power and efficiency coupled with high versatility and ease of use. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS, LIGHT TOWERS, OR QUADPODS* This explosion proof metal halide light is mounted on our non-sparking aluminum collapsible tripod, giving operators an easily deployable source of powerful light that can be quickly setup and adjusted to effectively illuminate hazardous work areas, then easily stowed and transported between uses. This unit contains a 70 watt dual ended metal halide lamp and is capable of illuminating 7,000 square feet of work space with 5,500 lumens of light. The 70 watt metal halide lamp produces illumination equivalent to a typical 400 watt halogen bulb while drawing only 70 watts at .58 amps. The metal halide lamp on this tower is mounted with a removable spun aluminum pedestal base. Operators can remove the lamp from the tower and use the lamp independently as a portable pedestal light in areas where using the tower is impractical. Both the shaft and the legs are completely collapsible, making it ideal for applications where portability is ideal. The tripod can be easily detached from the light aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The tripod affords operators the ability to quickly and securely elevate this lamp, increasing its effective coverage of the work area. The lamp can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side and locked into position. Operators can also remove the lamp from the tripod and utilize it as a standard pedestal light when using the tripod is impractical and a more portable light is needed. The lamp housing is waterproof and constructed of thick copper free aluminum alloy, making it ideal for use in wet and marine environments. The metal halide lamp provides 7,000 square feet of coverage with good color rendering and object contrast. This unit`s lamp assembly includes a 70 watt metal halide bulb, internal ballast and aluminum finish reflector in a copper-free cast aluminum housing with a thermoset powder coat finish. The shell, covers and sealed fittings are also made of copper-free aluminum. The lens is constructed of thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass and the housing contains threaded joints lubricated with non-drying lubricant. The metal halide lamp in this unit has no filament and is thus highly resistant to damage from shocks or impacts, greatly reducing the chances of damage should the tower be knocked over, unlike incandescent lamps which may break or shatter. The lamp is rated at 10,000+ hours of life providing longer service life than typical halogen lamps. The lamp operates with 120 VAC and is supplied with 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord ending in an explosion proof straight blade plug.
