This explosion proof work light from Larson Electronics comes complete with 100 feet of explosion proof cord and an inline transformer that steps down 120/240VAC to 12VAC or 24VAC for powering the lamp. The RNT-EPL-120X1224VAC-100 drop light housing is designed to provide an effective low voltage lighting solution for operators requiring a versatile source of illumination. This hazardous location hand lamp is Class 1, Division 1 approved when equipped with a 100 watt bulb and Class 2 Division 1 approved when equipped with a 60 watt bulb. This explosion proof drop light is ideal for hazardous work areas where a ready source of easily managed lighting is desired. This unit is rated Class 1, Division 1, Class 2 Division 1. Voltage: The encapsulated transformer equipped with this unit is offered in 120V or 240V input, and step it down to 24V DC without any modifications necessary as a result. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems which would otherwise result in burning up or premature LED failure without it. The encapsulated AC to DC transformer steps 120/240V AC down to 12V or 24V. This transformer has 100` of 16/3 oil and chemical resistant SOOW cable on the output side that connects the vapor proof LED light to the stepdown transformer, and 10` of 16/3 SOOW cable on the input side of terminated in an industrial grade cord cap. The inline transformer must be plugged in outside of the hazardous location. Plug: Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps.
