Magnetic handheld flood light (soft wide beam for task close up task lighting) with 100 watt halogen light and detachable 16 foot cord with cigarette plug. This light takes a normal PAR36 sealed beam 100 watt lamp. This magnetic light was designed as a low cost, heavy duty work light for cable, electric and construction utility fleets. The design is simple, effective and durable. More importantly, replacement lamps are available at any local automotive store. The operator can control the rotation and elevation of the light beam by adjusting the light head. The MUL-012 has a magnetic mount bases, measuring 3.25 inches in diameter, that has 100 pounds of magnetic pull. Magnetic Utility Lights will hold their position once the operator positions the beam. The operator can adjust the tension bolts to increase or lessen the "position holding tension" hinge depending on the amount of vibration in the environment. Magnetic Utility Lights can be used on vehicles, boats and heavy equipment. From a durability standpoint, the powder coated, spun steel housing is vibration proof and rugged. UV and salt resistant lamp housing measures 3.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep. The solid handle is 5 inches tall and 1.5 inches thick, and not likely to be damaged. A simple 2 wire configuration brings power and ground to the lamp. A standard rocker switch turns the light on and off. The magnetic base is enclosed in a powder coated steel cup. The 16 gauge cord has a tough SPT2 jacket and the cord is detachable. This 100 watt, sealed glass beam spotlight reaches a distance of 50 feet. At its widest point, this light beam will be approximately 75 feet wide. The sealed beam lamp is impervious to water, which means the reflector will not corrode or degrade, while protecting the bulb from changes in heat and moisture. The lamp will fail after 300 hours of use, but can be replaced at minimal cost and the sealed beams can be found at your local hardware or automotive parts store. These plates enable the use of all the Larson Electronicss and Golights with magnetic bases on any surface, including fiberglass, wood and concrete. Interlocking brackets secure the elevation of light beam once the operator positions the lamp head. The operator can tilt the lamp head up and down with pressure from a single hand. The tension on the hinge system will hold the lamp head in place once the operator positions it. This means that the operator can position the light beam at any angle and the light will hold that angle until the operator changes the tilt of the beam. Detachable cord options include 16 foot cord with cigarette plug. Each light is equipped with a one foot pig tail with 2 pin SAE connector (trailer plug). The 16 foot cord is terminated with the same trailer plug. Thus, the operator can detach the cord for replacement or storage.
