300W UVC Induction Tennis Ball Sanitation Box - (2) Induction Lamps, (4) Casters - Stainless Steel This unit is Made In USA - Manufactured in Texas The IND-SU-MH-BHL-TB1 from Larson Electronics is a UVC Induction Induction Sanitation Box that serves as a disinfection solution for tennis balls. This 300-watt unit features two UVC induction lamps with a 180¡ beam angle configuration, which are secured inside the unit. To start sanitation, individuals simply drop tennis balls into an opening at the top of the device. The UV box then disinfects the ball and releases it from the bottom within seconds. Powered via an electromagnet to reduce the risk of gas leaks associated with fluorescent lights, the mobile UV cart operates on 120-277V AC. ***PLEASE NOTE: UV-C light can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision, and temporary acute redness or ulceration (mild to severe sunburn) to exposed skin. To prevent exposure, do not operate the device in any application that allows UV-C light to be visible during operation. NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE BULB OR DISINFECTING TARGET ZONE. DO NOT touch bulb with bare hands. The oils in your skin will damage the lamp. Fingerprints will result in reduced performance and significantly reduce the lifespan of the lamp unless they are removed with alcohol. Please read instruction manual for UV safety requirements before operating.ÊUVC light in the proper setting kills up to 99.9% of viruses, mold, spores and bacteria.ÊClick here to learn more about UVC and the corona virus* The IND-SU-MH-BHL-TB1 offers a quick and convenient way to sanitize tennis balls. This system consists of two 150-watt UV induction lamps inside the box that provide UVC output within the 200nm - 280nm range. The lamps emit UV light with a 180¡ beam angle in a flood beam configuration. These mercury-based germicidal lamps operate on 120-277V AC and do not contain electrodes. The lamps have a 100,000-hour useful lifespan, making the unit a long-lasting sanitation solution. Operation: The IND-SU-MH-BHL-TB1 is capable of sanitizing a hopper of 75 tennis balls in approximately five minutes. To use the system, individuals drop tennis balls into an opening located at the top of the unit. The tennis ball passes through a sanitation tunnel, where the UVC induction lamps disinfect the surface of the ball, killing over 99% of viruses, bacteria, mold and spores. Sanitation is complete when the ball exits the tunnel from the bottom of the UV box. Constructed of stainless steel, the UV disinfection unit is equipped with a hinge-locking, spring-loaded lid to allow access to the tunnel when there is a ball stuck inside. A safety switch will automatically turn off the UV lamps when the lid is opened to prevent UV exposure. There is a highly visible indicator light on the unit to notify people about the operational status of the system. Equipped with an on/off power switch for seamless activation, an accessible opening on the front of the box holds standard round or square containers of wipes or hand sanitizer for cleaning hands after handling contaminated or dirty sports equipment. This UV fixture is a Risk Group 3 UV product. UV radiation from the unit can damage the skin and eyes without proper protection. Operators should avoid exposure to the eyes and skin when the unit is unshielded (for use in enclosed environments only). In the event of lamp breakage, it is recommended to ventilate the room for 30 minutes and clean the area with gloves (not a vacuum cleaner). Contents should be stored in a sealed plastic bag and brought to a waste/recycling facility. Note on Lamps: Induction lamps are similar to high-intensity discharge lamps. There is a glass bulb filled with gases, and an external ballast. The difference in the technology is, unlike metal halide or high pressure sodium that create an arc between two electrodes to ignite gases, induction lamps generate light from an electromagnetic interaction with the gases. This magnetic reaction with the gases provides a more energy efficient product and a longer lifespan over traditional high intensity discharge lamps. Additionally, there is no warm-up time generally associated with high intensity discharge lamps. Induction lamps provide instant-on light output similar to LED technology. The combination of induction lamp technology and UVC output provides the high output from high intensity discharge lamps with the instant-on, long life span, and energy efficiency of LED technology. Mounting: The IND-SU-MH-BHL-TB1 has four casters at the base (two locking and two non-locking casters), which allows the UV box to be moved around areas where equipment is frequently used. A standard tennis ball cart (not included) can be placed at the bottom for direct and quick storage of equipment. Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation. Please see user manual for additional safety information. Applications: Germicidal, equipment sanitation, schools, athletic departments, gyms, stadiums, medical and more.
