300W UVC Induction High Bay Fixture - 120-277V - Chain Hang Suspension Mount This unit is Made In USA - Manufactured in Texas The IND-HB-IDC-300W-UVC-CHM from Larson Electronics is a UVC Induction High Bay Fixture that serves as a disinfection solution in industrial facilities requiring large-area sanitation. This 300-watt unit features a UVC induction lamp with a 65¡ beam angle configuration. Powered via an electromagnet to reduce the risk of gas leaks associated with fluorescent lights, the luminary caters to chain hang suspension mounting and operates on 120-277V AC. ***PLEASE NOTE: UV-C light can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision, and temporary acute redness or ulceration (mild to severe sunburn) to exposed skin. To prevent exposure, do not operate the device in any application that allows UV-C light to be visible during operation. NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE BULB OR DISINFECTING TARGET ZONE. DO NOT touch bulb with bare hands. The oils in your skin will damage the lamp. Fingerprints will result in reduced performance and significantly reduce the lifespan of the lamp unless they are removed with alcohol. This 300-watt high bay fixture provides UVC output within the 200nm - 280nm range. During use, the unit emits UV light with a 65¡ beam angle in a flood beam configuration. This mercury-based germicidal lamp operates on 120-277V AC and does not contain electrodes. The lamp has a 100,000-hour useful lifespan, making the unit a long-lasting solution in work sites. Operation: The IND-HB-IDC-300W-UVC-CHM should only be used in non-occupied areas. The UVC radiation produced by this fixture is not safe for skin or eyes. These fixtures should also be set up on a separate circuit from other lighting. It is also advised to use a control circuit that incorporates a motion sensor with groupings of fixtures. This adds a level of safety because the lights will turn off if someone enters the area while the lights are on. This UV fixture is a Risk Group 3 UV product. UV radiation from the unit can damage the skin and eyes without proper protection. Operators should avoid exposure to the eyes and skin when the unit is unshielded (for use in enclosed environments only). In the event of lamp breakage, it is recommended to ventilate the room for 30 minutes and clean the area with gloves (not a vacuum cleaner). Contents should be stored in a sealed plastic bag and brought to a waste/recycling facility. There is a glass bulb filled with gases, and an external ballast. The difference in the technology is, unlike metal halide or high pressure sodium that create an arc between two electrodes to ignite gases, induction lamps generate light from an electromagnetic interaction with the gases. This magnetic reaction with the gases provides a more energy efficient product and a longer lifespan over traditional high intensity discharge lamps. Additionally, there is no warm-up time generally associated with high intensity discharge lamps. Induction lamps provide instant-on light output similar to LED technology. The combination of induction lamp technology and UVC output provides the high output from high intensity discharge lamps with the instant-on, long life span, and energy efficiency of LED technology. Mounting: The IND-HB-IDC-300W-UVC-CHM is suitable for chain hang suspension mount installations on ceilings. This mounting style allows the fixture to be positioned above the target area (see chart for mounting height and UV exposure recommendations). We offer models with surface or pendant mounting features at an additional cost. Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment.
