This unit uses two T8HO UVC lamps that provide 26.6 watts of total UV output during UV treatment. Designed for free-standing operation and permanent installation on walls, surfaces or ceilings, the UV air purifier operates on 120V AC and is protected by 304 stainless steel enclosure. ***PLEASE NOTE: UV-C light can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision, and temporary acute redness or ulceration (mild to severe sunburn) to exposed skin. To prevent exposure, do not operate the device in any application that allows UV-C light to be visible during operation. NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE BULB OR DISINFECTING TARGET ZONE. DO NOT touch bulb with bare hands. The oils in your skin will damage the lamp. Fingerprints will result in reduced performance and significantly reduce the lifespan of the lamp unless they are removed with alcohol. Equipped with two T8HO UVC fluorescent lamps, this system offers 26.6 watts of total UV output, within the 200nm - 280nm UV-C range (254 nm peak). The lights have an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern inside the unit. The UV chamber has a polished surface to maximize light distribution during UV treatment. Constructed of 304 stainless steel, the UV lights are enclosed inside the unit preventing UV exposure in occupied areas. A limit safety switch ensures automatic disconnection of power to the system during servicing, installation or maintenance. LED indicator lights on the unit notify individuals when the system is in operation and when the lamps must be replaced (one LED indicator light per lamp). The "dirty" air passes through the UV sanitation chamber where it is treated with UVC light using the two T8 fluorescent lamps. The disinfection process kills up to 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, mold, spores and other harmful microbes. Clean sanitized air exits the chamber through a louvered exhaust panel and is released back into the environment. This low-maintenance air disinfection process is continuous and quiet. 5-15 Straight Blade Plug 15 Amp / 125V Rated L5-15 Twist Lock Plug 15 Amp / 125V Rated Flying Leads / Pigtail Wires Wiring/Plug: This unit is equipped with 15 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground or NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Please choose pigtail option below for flying leads with no plug. Mounting: The IND-AHF-BX-UVC-R3-120V-15C can be deployed as a free-standing unit in occupied areas. This unit is also compatible with permanent installations on walls, surfaces or ceilings. We offer models with 2x2 and 2x4 troffer mount features for installations on ceilings with tiles or grids. Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
