This HAZLOC power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 450V AC power from a variety of sources within classified environments. This portable substation is suitable for Class I, Division 2 applications, with a fully resin potted C1D2 transformer and load center. This power distribution system is configured to transform 450V to 220V. This unit provides an effective HAZLOC power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance, equipment installations and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 450V, single phase which it then steps down to 220V AC. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 220V AC available via two Class I, Division 2 20-amp, 220V pin and sleeve receptacles. Description: The EPMGL-450-25KVA-220-2X220.30A portable power distribution substation converts single phase, 450V AC electrical current to single phase 220VAC via a resin potted Class I, Division 2 25KVA transformer (450V-1P to 220V-1P). 20` of 6/3 SOOW line-in cable is included to connect the substation to a primary 450V primary power supply. A Class I, Division 2 60-amp disconnect switch provides primary line-in protection and supplies primary power to the 25 KVA transformer. Connection for 220V AC is through two 32-amp, 220V, Class I, Division 2 pin and sleeve receptacles with spring loaded covers. The transformer is potted and the entire system is built and certified to UL 1640 and UL 1203 standards. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated aluminum, dolly cart style, frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two run-flat rubber tires and a dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift point allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150 KVA, and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits and shipyard operations.
