The EPL-TX-6A-5V from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof Power Supply that takes 100-277V and converts it into 5V DC. This allows operators to use equipment such as LED or HID lights that require DC power from commonly used 100-277V electrical current. The EPL-TX-6A-5V is rated for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups A, B, C, D, Class I, Zones 1 & 2, Groups IIB+H2, IIA, Class II, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups E, F ,G and Class III Divisions 1 & 2 hazardous areas.The EPL-TX-6A-5V features durable aluminum construction and a choice of 1/2" or 3/4" NPT hub sizes. The precision cast and machined surface permit safer wire pulling and the precision NPT-threaded hubs allow for trouble-free field installation of rigid conduit.The EPL-TX-6A-5V explosion proof power supply features full range, universal AC input capability and can be operated with 90 to 305VAC. The unit converts this AC power input to 30 watt, 5V DC output. Integrally designed protection includes overload, short circuit and over voltage safeguards to prevent overheating and unit damage in case of faults or overly heavy current draw. This unit will shut down when an over current fault is encountered and automatically resume operation once the fault is repaired or removed.
