Made in the USA The Larson Electronics explosion proof LED is designed for use in hazardous work areas, such as chemical plants, oil refineries and settings where combustible gases or dust may be present. This 43-watt fixture comes with the following explosion proof ratings: Class I Division 2, Class II and Class III. The unit features a compact, modular design, offers up to 67 percent in energy savings and supports solid state features that can withstand rough treatment in demanding environments. Features: This hazardous area LED light is designed to replace 100-150 watt HID lamps. It can deliver up to 5,335 lumens (124 lumens-per-watt) with a brilliant white 5,000K color temperature rating (70 CRI). During output, the 43-watt luminary features a flood pattern beam and runs on 120-277VAC 50/60 Hz. With an ambient operating temperature range of -40¡ C to 65¡C, this unit may operate in cold temperature environments without lengthy warm-up periods (instant illumination). The explosion proof LED fixture’s housing is constructed of die cast aluminum with an epoxy powder coat (heat and impact resistant glass lens); and its external hardware components are made up of stainless steel. This unit comes with a voltage range of 108-250VDC, > 0.90 power factor and < 20% total harmonic distortion (THD). The LED light is suitable for locations with mounting heights of 8-60 feet. It may be mounted using the following options: pendant, wall, ceiling and stanchion. This explosion proof LED light may be used in the following hazardous locations: Class I Division 2 (Groups A, B, C, D), Class I Zone 2, Class II (Groups E, F, G) and Class III. It is IP66, type 4X and IECEx/ATEX/CE rated. This unit also complies with NRTL Certified to UL 8750, NRTL Certified to UL 844, NRTL Certified to UL 1598 and NRTL Certified to UL 50. Operators may use this luminary in processing mills, mining sites, oil and gas refineries, food and beverage facilities and petrochemical plants. In addition to hazardous areas, this fixture is suitable for use in corrosive, wet and dusty environments. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Applications: This explosion proof self-righting light may be used to support industrial works in the following sectors: manufacturing, warehouse, fire and rescue, outdoor construction sites, mining and utility. It is also suitable for hazardous locations and wet areas where petrochemical vapors, combustible gases and dust may be present. At Larson Electronics, we do more than meet your lighting needs.
