Made in the USA The Larson Electronics HAL-EMG-EXT-2X3W-2L explosion proof LED emergency lighting system with exit sign features reliable illumination in hazardous areas. It supports 120-277V AC input voltages (9W max) and 12V DC output (18W max). The lamps (2) are equipped with powerful three-watt LEDs for a combined total of 80 lumens. In the event of power outage, this unit will continue to function for 90 minutes using a high-temperature rated nickel cadmium battery. The fixture supports the following explosion proof ratings: Class I, Division 2 and Class II, Division 2. When purchasing this product, buyers may choose from 120V or 277V voltage options and single sided or dual sided exit sign placements. Features: This hazardous area LED fixture is rated for use in ambient temperatures ranging between 0¡C and 55¡C. During operation, the unit features 120-227V AC 50/60 Hz input voltages. The marine-rated lamp head supports 12V DC output with (2) three-watt LEDs (80 lumens). Should power outage occur, the unit may revert to a high-temperature rated nickel cadmium battery for power, which offers a runtime of 90 minutes. An auto-disconnect feature built into the fixture preserves the solid-state battery and charger. A factory installed "push-to-test" function may be used to streamline maintenance and diagnostics. The explosion proof LED emergency luminary is constructed of nylon, a plastic coating and stainless steel. While the cover gasket is made out of Hypalon synthetic rubber; and the LED lamp head is protected by epoxy powder coated stainless steel. The power supply and remote fixture enclosures consist of Krydon fiberglass-reinforced polyester. This unit is suitable for hazardous work locations associated with the following explosion proof ratings: Class I, Division 2 (Groups B, C and D) and Class II, Division 2 (Groups F and G). The fixture complies with the following UL and CSA Standards: UL 1598A, UL 924, UL 844, C22.2 No. 141-M1985 and C22.2 No. 137-M1981. It may also be used in marine wet locations (NEMA 3, 3R and 4X). LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Options: This unit comes in 120V and 227V voltage options. Buyers may also choose between dual-siding or single-siding placement configurations for the exit sign.
