With a 2 foot long 15 watt LED tube lamp, this hazardous location light provides higher quality light than higher wattage incandescent lights and more light than previous fluorescent lamp equipped models. This light is suitable for exposure to vapors and dusts and ideal for use in paint spray booth inspections or as general portable lighting in confined spaces like fuel tanks or grain storage areas. This 2 foot long, 15 watt, explosion proof LED work light comes complete with a 100 foot long explosion proof cord and an 1523 explosion proof straight blade plug for long range and convenient operation. This hazardous location area light features a rugged, non-sparking aluminum casing and unique rod cage and produces cool, glare-free, shadowless light that improves safety in hazardous locations and maximizes lighting efficiency with built-in metal reflectors. These LED lights improve on the desirable qualities of similar fluorescent models with higher output and better light quality and are ideal for paint booth applications, storage container inspections and applications involving confined spaces such as tank cleaning and industrial container maintenance. This lamp has no ballast, which reduces lamp weight, an impact resistant tube shield with specially designed annealed glass and an aluminum hook for easy overhead mounting. The 100 foot long Class 1, Division 1 rated SOOW 16/3 AWG cord and explosion proof slip-ring housing help this unit to achieve approval for use in environments containing flammable vapors and combustible dusts. This explosion proof fluorescent hand lamp can be used within hazardous locations rated Class 1 Division 1 and 2, and Class 2 Division 1 and 2, making it ideal for hazardous work areas where a ready source of easily managed lighting is desired. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. The plug is Class 1, Division 1 & 2 and Class 2, Division 1 & 2 rated. In order to complete the seal and preserve the plugs` explosion proof approval, the operator must connect the plug to a matching explosion proof outlet receptacle. Although this plug will work with a standard outlet, connecting to a regular 125/250V outlet renders the plugs` explosion proof rating useless and should only be done when connecting the light outside of the explosion proof environment.
