Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MPD-480V-75KVA-120.240-5X50A-6X30A-20C heavy duty power transformer substation converts 480VAC electrical current to 120/240VAC single phase. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* The Larson Electronics MPD-480V-75KVA-120.240-5X50A-6X30A-20C portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 120 volt and 240 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators bring single-phase 480V line-in power using 20` of #2 Type W cable. On the secondary side, operators can access four CS8269 receptacles and six L6-30R receptacles for 240V equipment. All receptacles are protected with weatherproof covers. Operation: A 20` #2 Type W cable brings 480V single phase power to the 480V single-phase 200-amp fusible disconnect fused at 175 amps and passes power to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 75KVA transformer converts 480V single-phase power to 120/240V single phase 60Hz and passes the current to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 120/240V single phase 400-amp main lug panel. This secondary panel contains four 250V, 50-amp, 2-pole breakers protecting four 250V, 50-amp, 2P3W CS8269 receptacles, and six 250V, 30-amp, 2-pole breakers protecting six 250V, 30-amp, 2P3W L6-30R receptacles. Protective Construction: Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and load assembly is mounted on a 3/16" thick carbon steel mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" x 1/8" square carbon steel tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking foam filled casters, and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customer’s needs. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground. ~Please check all motor loads for dual rated motors that will work 208 or 240.~ Applications: This power distribution system is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations.
