Made in Texas The Larson Electronics MPD-CD1-BS.12AB-DE7.5DP-BC-1.R58-M1 temporary power distribution system converts three-phase 480 V AC Delta electrical current into three-phase 240 V AC Delta. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480 V AC Delta power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* The MPD-CD1-BS.12AB-DE7.5DP-BC-1.R58-M1 temporary power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 3-phase 240 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect three-phase 480 volt line-in power via 25` of #12/4 AWG SOOW cord. On the secondary side, operators can access three-phase 240 volt power via 75` #12/4 AWG SOOW cord. The primary side is protected by a 15-amp miniature circuit breaker and the secondary side is protected by a 20-amp miniature circuit breaker. Operation: ¥ Primary Voltage: 3-Phase 480 V AC Delta ¥ Primary Panel: N/A ¥ Primary Breaker(s): (1) 15A 3P MCB [480V] ¥ Primary Outlet(s): N/A ¥ Transformer: 7.5KVA 480D to 240D 3PH N3R ¥ Secondary Voltage: 3-Phase 240 V AC Delta ¥ Secondary Panel: 240V 3PH 20A MLO N3R ¥ Secondary Breaker(s): (1) 20A 3P MCB [250V] ¥ Secondary Receptacle(s): N/A *See specification table at the top of the page for more information about the power distribution system. Operation: A 25-foot #12/4 AWG SOOW cord brings three-phase 480 V AC Delta power to the primary side of the system, which contains one 15-amp 3-pole 480 V miniature circuit breaker and passes power to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 7.5 KVA transformer converts 480 V AC Delta to three-phase 240 V AC Delta, 60 Hz power and passes the current to the secondary side. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a 240V 3PH 20A MLO N3R panel. This secondary panel has one 20-amp 3-pole 250V miniature circuit breaker available. A 75-foot #12/4 AWG SOOW cord extends from the secondary side and provides 240 V AC Delta current. Protective Construction: A weatherproof flip cover at the front of the unit can be lifted upwards via an accessible handle, which serves as protection for (primary and secondary) breakers and receptacles in rugged environments when deployed at the site. Operators may access locks on the door and on the ears (accessible from the inside of the lid) of the panel. The panel can be positioned upwards and locked in place for easy access to receptacles and breakers. A drain plug on the panel helps the power distribution system achieve a NEMA 3R rating, allowing the unit to be used in both indoor and outdoor locations. The transformer is protected by vibration isolators that reduce damage to exterior jacket of wiring components and decrease noise during operation. In MGL-style power distribution systems, the presence of vibration isolators ensures wiring between the transformer and panel is well protected and does not have to be frequently replaced. Vibration isolators can also be found on the breakers, which protect the breakers from damage, prevent loose bolts/nuts and reduce overall noise during use in the field. The power distribution system is constructed of steel with a polyester powder coated blue finish for durability against dirt, moisture and mild corrosion. This special coating creates a high-strength barrier for protection from accidental bumps and scratches. The TGIC polyester powder coat finish offers reliable resistance against chemicals, UV light (sun light) and degrading elements in outdoor locations. Our powder coating solution ensures robust color retention for many years without fading. Custom colors, such as black, grey, desert tan or forest green, and galvanized finishes are available upon request. Non-standard powder coat colors or galvanized finishes may increase price and lead times. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a standard steel cart style frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two rubber tires and a cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift eye allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Certification: All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request. Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground. Applications: This power distribution system is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations. These power distribution systems are popularly used in applications where external power sources are often necessary. We also offer class rated transformers for use within explosion proof and hazardous location environments. Custom Built Systems Available: Larson Electronics is a manufacturer and we can build portable power distribution systems to your specifications. Although we carry several models of portable power distribution systems in stock, we can deliver custom ordered units almost as quickly as our prebuilt units. If this model does not meet your needs, please contact us at 1-800-369-6671 or [email protected] to discuss your specific requirements. |
