The Larson Electronics LED-TDL-2C LED Touch Dome Light is an extremely efficient and versatile lighting solution for boats, walkways, cabin areas, stairs, vehicles and marine locations. This 6-watt unit is compatible with 10-30V DC and provides 244 lumens of light. Constructed of stainless steel, the waterproof LED light caters to surface or wall mounting applications and is offered in white + blue (dimming) or white + red (dimming). The LED-TDL-2C is a slim-profile LED light for easy and unobtrusive mounting in tight areas with limited space, including boats. This 6-watt LED light operates on low voltage 10-30V DC and provides 244 lumens of output. To activate and deactivate the light, operators simply press the surface of the lamp. These touch dome lights are offered in white + blue (dimming) or white + red (dimming). Constructed of stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance, these units are fully sealed, weatherproof and IP67 compliant. Negative and positive leads power these LED lamps from a low voltage source. Measuring only 6.75" (diameter) by 1.13" (depth), the LED light is ideal for installation along railings, under cabinets, along stairs and wherever a powerful and compact light is needed. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Mounting: Suitable for marine environments, the LED-TDL-2C can be mounted on surfaces or walls using a provided mounting template, as well as three screws that come included with the LED fixture. Mounting is facilitated by three, 3/4" mounting holes with 120 degrees of space between each opening.
