The LEDCPL-LP-500-MS-WCM Low Profile LED Quick Mount Canopy Light offers high light output from a compact form factor and is designed to provide a more durable and long lived alternative to halogen and metal halide units. A compact microwave motion/occupancy sensor streamlines operation and minimizes energy consumption. This 50 watt LED light is designed to replace 250 watt metal halide canopy lights and produces a wide flood beam without the high heat, fragile construction, or high energy costs of traditional lighting. The LED LEDCPL-LP-500-MS-WCM operates on voltages of 110-277V AC and provides 100,000 hours of reliability and up to 79% savings compared to traditional 250 watt metal halide canopy light fixtures. The popular LEDCPL-LP-500-MS-WCM Low Profile LED canopy light from Larson Electronics is designed to replace more fragile and energy consuming 250 watt metal halide fixtures, without the required maintenance or electrical requirements associated with metal halides. This 50 watt LED canopy light assembly consists of an integrated LED assembly paired with a polycarbonate lens to produce a wide light distribution suitable for replacing 250 watt metal halide flood lights. This LED quick mount canopy light features a 2-piece housing constructed of die cast aluminum alloy with an injected molded rubber gasket resembling that of traditional style canopy light fixtures. This LED canopy light is designed to withstand demanding conditions and is IP65 waterproof and built to resist the damaging effects of an outdoor environment. A microwave motion/occupancy sensor is available for automating operation and reducing energy consumption during periods of low activity. This fixture can be used indoors or outdoors as well as in confined spaces without heat buildup. The LEDCPL-LP-500-MS-WCM consists of an integrated LED assembly housed within a waterproof die cast aluminum housing that is powder coated for added durability and resistance to corrosion. The 2-part housing allows for easy quick mount installation and future servicing, and the aluminum design helps heat dissipation and increased LED longevity. The LED lamp assembly is protected by a prismatic polycarbonate lens which is secured to the housing with a one piece injected rubber seal. This prismatic polycarbonate lens is designed for superior light distribution. Four 1/2" NPT knockouts located on three of the sides and back of the fixture provide a secure and sealed power connection point and rounds out this unit`s weather resistant construction. The traditional housing design of this LED canopy light helps maintain building aesthetics when replacing existing canopy lighting. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions.
