This unit incorporates a 400 watt metal halide lamp capable of illuminating an area 25,000 square feet in size and is approved for use in wet area and marine environments.The EPL-PM-1X400MH-200 pedestal mounted hazardous area light provides operators in hazardous locations with a versatile lighting solution for operations where easily managed large scale illumination of the workspace is required. One 400 watt metal halide lamp provides light coverage for 25,000 square feet of work area while a Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D approval assures reliable protection against inadvertent ignitions. This hazardous area light package is designed to provide operators in hazardous locations with an easily deployed and highly stable hazardous location approved lighting platform. Included with this unit is a 400 watt metal halide lamp and 200 feet of abrasive and oil resistant 16/3 SOOW cord terminating in a Class I Division 1 explosion proof plug. The metal halide lamp is mounted to a metal pedestal platform with adjustable T handles that provides vertical adjustability. A single carrying handle is included to provide easy carrying and movement of the unit from one location to another. This HAZLOC portable light fixture is comprised of a 400 watt metal halide light head mounted within a portable base stand fabricated from non sparking aluminum with a convenient carrying handle built into the top of the stand. The aluminum A-frame is powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. The lamp can be easily adjusted up or down 90 degrees and locked into position by simply loosening the two hand screws located on either side of the light head and re-tightening them once the desired angle is found.The lamp housing is weatherproof and constructed of die cast aluminum featuring a hinged, removable front-access door with two captive closure screws for easy servicing. The optical assembly includes a precision-formed aluminum reflector and heat/impact-resistant tempered flat door glass. The aluminum reflector has a chemically bonded, lightweight, non-breakable ALGLAS¨ finish on both the inside and outside surfaces providing corrosion resistance, durability and ease of cleaning. The optical assembly contains a mogul base socket capable of handling the higher pulse ratings of newer HID systems.This lamp is suitable for use in areas where flammable petrochemical vapors are sometimes present. This light is highly durable, produces high light output in a wide flood pattern, and operates effectively at temperatures to -20 degrees F. This metal halide pedestal mounted light is rated for use in wet areas and marine environments and can be configured to operate with 120-277V, 480V, and 220-50hz VAC.
