Made in Texas The Larson Electronics MGL25-8C-480-13X120-1X240-GFIB temporary power distribution system converts 480VAC electrical current into 120/240VAC single phase. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* Portable Power Distribution Purpose and UseThe MGL25-8C-480-13X120-1X240-GFIB temporary power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 120V and 240V equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480V line-in power via 25` of #8 Type W cord with an APJ6485 60A 600V-rated cord cap. On the secondary side, operators connect to one 14-50R receptacle for 120/240V equipment, one 5-30R, two duplex 5-20R, and ten duplex 5-15R receptacles for 120V equipment. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers. Operation: A #8 Type W line-in cord with a 60A 600V-rated cord cap brings 480VAC power to the NEMA 3R 60A 480V three phase primary disconnect, which contains two 60A time delay fuses and passes 480V through to the single phase transformer. The NEMA 3R 25KVA transformer converts 480V to 120/240V single phase and passes power to a secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 120/240V single phase 125A main lug only panel. This secondary panel contains one 50A 2P 250V GFCI-breaker protecting one 50A 125/250V 14-50R receptacle, one 30A 1P 125V GFCI-breaker protecting one 30A 125V 5-30R receptacle, two 20A 1P 125V GFCI-breakers protecting two 20A 5-20R 125V duplex receptacles and ten 15A 1P 125V GFCI-breakers protecting ten 15A 125V duplex receptacles. Protective Construction: The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated steel, dolly cart style frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two run-flat rubber tires and a dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift point allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150 KVA and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Certification: Larson Electronics is a UL 1640 panel shop and certified to build portable power distribution systems. All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.
