This telescoping five stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 20` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 20` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 6.5` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. This unit features a relocated base pulley. The pulley is located 1" above grade when the base is mounted.

The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 4.49` in length and 7" by 7" by 1/4" thick, second section 4.78` in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, third section 4.96` in length and 4" by 4" by 3/25" thick, fourth section 5.15` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and top section 5.40` in length and 2" by 2" by 3/25" thick. Each section has a 1` overlap. The mast is elevated using an included 3,000 lb hand winch with 3/16" galvenized steel cable and extended to its full height using a second 3,000 lb hand winch.

The LM series of telescoping towers are available in either a powder coat with glossy blue finish, a powder coat with black finish, or galvanized for corrosion resistance and aesthetics. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 18" by 18" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 9/16" anchor bolts. The winch on the base of the mast is mounted high enough to allow for clearance when mounting the mast to a trailer. A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for light fixtures and equipment.

The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 6.5`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360¡. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.

This light tower weighs approximately 360 lb and can easily support and lift 150 lb fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 9.5` long, 4` wide, 5` tall and weighs approximately 1100 lb. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer`s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. We also offer a choice of either the manual 3,000 lb hand winches included standard or optional electric winches.

Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, construction sites, and security camera deployment. We can equip this mast with 1000W or 1500W Metal Halide lights or a wide variety of high powered LED lights with comparable power, including the LED10WSA-160, LEDLB-200X2E, LEDLB-160X2E or LEDLB-80x2E.
