The Larson Electronics LEDXBL-SM-BW-1X1W High Output Courtesy LED Light offers energy efficient and powerful illumination from a low-voltage source. Equipped with CREE LEDs, the 1-watt unit is compatible with 12V DC or 24V DC and is constructed of machined delrin. The LED light features two openings for surface mounting applications. The LEDXBL-SM-BW-1X1W is a slim, low-profile courtesy light for boats, storage rooms and pathways. This 1-watt unit is offered in low voltage 12V DC or 24V DC and provides 100 lumens of output in a flood beam configuration. Powered by CREE LEDs, the lightweight LED light is constructed of machined delrin for durability and measures 2.31" x 1.78" x 0.64". LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Wiring: Negative and positive leads power the LED unit from a low voltage source. Mounting: This LED courtesy light can be mounted on flat surfaces and walls via two, 0.2" mounting holes on the unit.
