Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MPD-480-15K-120-208Y-12X20-2X30 Temporary Power Distribution System converts 480 VAC three phase electrical current to 120V AC and 208Y AC 60hz. This power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This mini portable substation is suitable for outdoor applications, with a fully potted transformer and NEMA 3R load center. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs, and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480v, three phase, 60hz which it then steps down to 1ph 120 VAC and 3ph 20Y VAC. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 120VAC available via twelve 20A, 120V GFCI protected 5-20 duplex receptacles with weatherproof covers. Description: 20` of Type-W line-in power cord is included to connect the substation to a primary 480v 3ph primary power supply. A fused disconnect provides primary line protection and supplies primary power to the 15kva transformer. Secondary current is wired to a 120/208Y, 3 phase, 100 amp load center with main breaker for circuit protection. 120V line out protection is provided by twelve 20amp, 125 Volt, 1 pole breakers and two 30 amp 240 volt breakers. Connection for 120/240V is through receptacles mounted on the side of the load center. Receptacles include twelve 5-20 120v, GFCI waterproof duplex receptacles and two L6-30 240V twist lock receptacles with waterproof covers. The load center is mounted within NEMA 3R enclosure. The MPD-480-15K-120-208Y-12X20-2X30 transformer comes mounted to a miniature version of our cube-style mounts. The transformer is mounted to a 1/8” thick diamond plate and the distribution assembly is mounted onto a rugged 2 inch square carbon steel frame with four-corner pick eyelets that allow for stable deployment via crane operation. Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, hazardous location operations, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations.
