The EPLC2-HHB-400W-LED hazardous area light is the perfect upgrade replacement for traditional 400 watt metal halide lamps. Suitable for extreme temperatures, the weatherproof LED light delivers a powerful 16,177 lumens and high chromaticity for excellent color rendering while drawing only 130 watts. Designed with versatility in mind, this explosion proof hazardous area light runs on 100-277V AC, 50/60 Hz. When in use, the LED light offers a full, 360¡ beam angle for maximum illumination.

The EPLC2-HHB-400W-LED explosion proof hazardous area lamp is housed within a lightweight, high strength copper-free aluminum body. Protecting the LED lamp from direct contact and debris is a transparent globe with a sturdy cage guard. The cylindrical form factor, which take on similar appearances with traditional fixtures, ensures maximum lumen output at work sites. All external hardware consists of stainless steel components. The LED assembly is connected with a solderless board connection for increased resistance to vibration.

A NEMA 4X waterproof rating indicates that the enclosure of this LED light provides a degree of protection against hazardous elements, provides a degree of protection against environmental concerns, such as the ingress of water, provides additional protection against corrosion and that the enclosure will not be damaged by external formation of ice.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied. With LED lighting technology, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking. Rather, LEDs provide instant illumination when powered on, making them more dependable and convenient than halide or incandescent lighting methods.

By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than metal halide lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional halide lighting. This internal driver provides the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. This not only reduces the energy dissipation, effectively lowering the operating temperature of the fixture, but also prevents AC over-voltage and short circuit loading making this fixture virtually maintenance free. Because the electronic driver allows the EPLC2-HHB-150W-LED to run at a cooler internal temperature and regulates the electrical current, energy efficiency and LED service hours are maximized while at the same time reducing operating costs and downtime incurred from the frequent servicing intervals required with other hotter running lights. As a result, the Larson Electronics Explosion Proof Light has a rated service life of 50,000 hours.

Hubs: Wiring is through a convenient 3/4" NPT conduit entrance. A simple hinge arrangement makes for faster and easier installation by permitting seamless wiring.

Mount: The Larson Electronics EPLC2-HHB-400W-LED is offered in wall, ceiling, pendant or stanchion mount.
