The Larson Electronics MPD-CW3-CLP-DE112.5YT-NZ-8.L35-12.N10-M1 Power Distribution Substation converts three-phase 480V AC, Delta electrical current to three-phase 208Y/120 AC, Wye. This fully enclosed power distribution unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power.

Portable Power Distribution Purpose and Use
The MPD-CW3-CLP-DE112.5YT-NZ-8.L35-12.N10-M1 portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 208 volt and 120 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480 volt line-in power via one set of 16 Series camlock inputs. On the secondary side, eight NEMA L21-30R receptacles are available for 208Y/120 equipment and twelve 5-20R NEMA GFCI duplex receptacles for 120V equipment. All receptacles are protected by a receptacle enclosure.

Operation: One set of 400-amp 16 Series 600V rated camlock inputs brings three-phase 480V power to the primary side of the system, which contains one 150-amp 3-pole 480V molded case circuit breaker, and passes power to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 112.5 KVA transformer converts three-phase 480V to 208Y/120 60Hz and passes the current to the secondary side. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 312-amp three-phase 208Y/120 main lug only panel. This secondary panel has eight 30-amp 3-pole 250V main circuit breakers protecting eight 30-amp NEMA L21-30R 208Y/120 receptacles and twelve 20-amp 1-pole 125V main circuit breakers protecting twelve 20-amp 5-20R 125V NEMA GFCI duplex receptacles.

Protective Construction: Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this powder coated unit is fully enclosed and designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The system is accessible via two doors at each end for access to breakers on the panels and a center-located door for access to receptacles. The model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking casters, and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customerÕs needs. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted.

Certification: All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code). All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.

Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground.
