EatonÕs surge relief valves help enhance safety and are typically mounted to main refuel galleys inside fuel tanks on tankers and commercial airplanes. During refueling operations, our valve opens and discharges fuel directly into the fuel tank to prevent pressure surges when rapid changes in flow velocity occur in conveyance pipes. If surges arenÕt controlled immediately and exceed pressure limits, they can damage conveyance equipment and create hazards.Ê
