Crouse-Hinds series Roughneck single pole high amperage plugs and connectors are designed specifically for oil and gas drilling applications. The quick-connect, high amperage, single conductor connectors are built to take heavy abuse while providing a simple, secure and safe connection.
Available in models up to 1135 amps, Roughneck plugs and receptacles replace expensive and bulky multi-conductor cables and allow for the use of lighter, single-conductor cables rated at higher amperages. Ten colors are available to provide easy circuit identification when mating plugs with receptacles. Color coding improves operator safety by preventing reverse phasing on AC circuits or cross-polarization on DC circuits to assure correct rotation of motors. A NEMA 3 rating and a high level of indestructability makes Roughneck an ideal solution for single-conductor, high amperage connectivity.
