We offer extended reach PD-LD InGaAs PIN photodiodes whose design is intended for operation beyond the operating wavelength range of standard material. These extended reach photodiodes will operate from 1.0 to 2.6 microns, with their optimal performance found between 1.6 and 2.5 microns. These detectors have a 300um diameter active area allowing them to be coupled to optical fibers having core diameters from 3um to 200um.
Pigtailing
Devices can be pigtailed with any size optical fiber that is compatible with its active area size. Pigtails may range in core size from 3 micron to 200 micron. One meter is the standard length, but any length or connector termination may be specified. Pigtails may be terminated with ST, FC, SC and LC connectors with either PC or APC polish.
