Put on this kit to make the splash well the point at which the push-pull cable connects. The ball and sockets motion position the steering cable automatically. The threaded tube mounting hardware is durable and resists corrosion. It is not advisable for through-transom applications such as jet boats. The SPLASHWELL KIT (PRE370613) is used for vessels where a splash well box or a lack of an engine tilt tube prevents the use of a standard tilt tube or transom support mounting brackets. The mounting surface of the boat is usually perpendicular to the transom and between 12 and 16 inches from the center line or tiller (25-33? total splash well width).
