The Larson Electronics GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-TS-E2E-WP-120V-5.15 Vapor Proof LED Fixture is similar to our popular explosion proof LED fixtures and provides an LED alternative to fluorescent fixtures that provides longer lamp life and higher performance. This 28-watt unit operates on 120V and contains 6 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord with weatherproof 5-15 cord caps for daisy chain connections. Please note that this unit is vapor proof and not approved for use in hazardous locations. The GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-TS-E2E-WP-120V-5.15 is equipped with two specially designed LED T8-series bulbs which produce 1,750 lumens each and have a correlated color temperature of 5,600K, 4,500K or 3,000K. The 28-watt, two-lamp LED light fixture is designed for those who wish to replace or upgrade from fluorescent equipped fixtures and offers better light output and longer lamp life with reduced maintenance costs. With no ballast and solid state LED light tubes, this fixture, which operates on 120V, draws less than 0.3 amps while offering durability and versatility that common fluorescent fixtures cannot match. Integral aluminum heat sink tube backings provide cool operation and long LED life, while a simple latching system seals the lens cover to the housing and provides easy access for re-lamping. There is no ballast in this unit and the included LEDT8-24-V1 LED lamps have a 50,000+ hour service life, both of which result in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. These fluorescent LED lamps have internal drivers, eliminating external power components. The solid state design of the LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature and a lamp service life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs. Our standard unit ships with 5600K unless different color temperature is specified. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Emergency Backup: This LED light contains a battery backup unit that adds emergency light functionality to the fixture. This vapor proof emergency light will run one bulb at the standard UL suggested 90 minutes after power is lost at 1,750 lumens. The light recharges the battery once electrical power is restored. Standard configuration includes a single emergency battery backup that is automatically recharged and kept in a ready state. Operators may access an internal push button switch to test the emergency functions of the unit. Wiring: The GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-TS-E2E-WP-120V-5.15 is equipped with 6 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with a weatherproof 15-amp 125V 5-15P male cord cap and a weatherproof 15-amp 125V 5-15C female connector on the other end. The cords enable seamless daisy chain connections during installation. Mounting: This LED lamp features sturdy brackets for surface mounting applications. Flange type aluminum mounting components attached at each end of the fixture enables it to be simply secured to any surface. The mounts provide some shock absorbency protection while enabling the user to simply mount the fixture with the through-hole taps that protrude on each side of the fixture.
