Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MGS-37.5-10C-480-120-240V-GFI- SS-GAL Temporary Power Substation converts 480 VAC three phase electrical current to single phase 120V AC and 240V AC. This power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This 3 phase 480V to single phase 120/240 VAC temporary power substation provides a safe and reliable way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs, and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480v, 3ph which it then steps down to 1ph, 120 VAC and 1ph, 240 VAC. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 120 VAC available via eight 20amp, 120v GFI protected 5-20R watertight receptacles and 240 VAC available via two 20amp, 250v, 2 pole/3 wire receptacles with watertight covers Description: The MGS-37.5-10C-480-120-240V-GFI- SS-GAL temporary power distribution substation converts three phase, 480 VAC electrical current to single phase 120V AC and 240V AC via a 37.5kva "Square D" transformer (480v to 120/240v, 1ph, 60hz). The main primary line feeds through a primary protection circuit breaker for whole system safety. Secondary current is wired to a 125amp load center with 125amp main breaker and neutral/ground which distributes 120/240v, single phase current. 120v AC distribution is through eight 20amp, 120v, 5-20R watertight receptacles protected by eight 20amp, 120v, single phase GFI breakers. 240v AC is distributed through two 20amp, 250v, 2 pole/3 wire receptacles with watertight covers protected by two 20amp, 240v, 2 phase breakers. The portable power transformer system is enclosed within a stainless steel enclosure and mounted to a 2 inch galvanized steel tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, corrosion resistant, and well protected power distribution platform. Integral 3" X 6" X 3/8" rectangular tube skid pockets provide forklift access, and a top located lifting eyelet allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. Applications: This power distribution system is designed to resist the effects of wet environments and ideal for indoor or outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, hazardous location operations, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations. These power transformers are popularly used for HAZLOC applications where external power sources are often necessary and work well in combination with explosion proof lights and equipment.
