Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MGS-45KVA-8X120-2X240-WC power distribution substation converts 480 VAC three phase electrical current into single phase 120/240 VAC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. With this system, operators can choose between eight 20-amp, 5-20 outlets for 120V service and two 30-amp, L6-30 outlets for 240V service. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS* The MGS-45KVA-8X120-2X240-WC transformer provides a safe and effective way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit provides an effective power source for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance, equipment installations and repairs or any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This unit is designed to operate with 480 VAC, which it then transforms to 120 VAC single phase and 240 VAC single phase. This transformer makes 120/240VAC readily available via eight 120V GFCI protected 20-amp receptacles and two 240V, L6-30 receptacles. The transformer feeds the 100-amp main breaker secondary panel, which include eight 20-amp, 120V breakers and two 30-amp, 240V breakers. The breakers protect eight 5-20 GFI outlets and two L6-30 outlets with weather-tight covers. Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer is mounted on a 3/16" thick carbon steel mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick square carbon steel tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. The entire frame is powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customer’s needs. This unit is weatherproof and ideal for use in applications including but not limited to; plant maintenance, welding stations, trade shows, exhibits and marine applications. These units are popularly used in locations where external power sources are often necessary and work well in combination with generators or grid power.
