Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MGS-45KVA-8X120-2X240.120I-WC power distribution substation converts 480 VAC three phase electrical current into single phase 120V AC. This power distribution system provides eight standard 5-20 GFI outlets and two 120V isolated ground outlets. The MGS-45KVA-8X120-2X240.120I-WC transformer provides a safe and effective way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit provides an effective power source for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This unit is designed to operate with 480 three phase which it then transforms to 120 Volt single phase. This transformer makes 120VAC readily available via eight 120V GFCI protected 20-amp receptacles and two 120V, 20-amp isolated ground circuit receptacles. That transformer provides 120/208Y to a 100-amp main breaker Nema 3R panel. This panel includes eight 120V, 20-amp breakers protecting eight 120V GFI 5-20 outlets. The 120/208Y, 100-amp main breaker panel also includes two 20-amp breakers, each protecting two 3KVA Nema 3R 240V to 120V isolation transformers. The isolation transformers each feed a dedicated Nema 5-20R isolated ground outlet. Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and load assembly is mounted on a 3/16" thick carbon steel mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" x 1/8" square carbon steel tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking polyurethane casters, and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customer’s needs. Units are available up to 150kva and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. This unit is weatherproof and ideal for use in applications including but not limited to, plant maintenance, construction location operations, as a welding station, shows and exhibits and marine applications.
