Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPL-TX-500-250V-MCB-2XLV.2X10AB-24V Portable Explosion Proof Transformer converts 240V AC electrical current into 24V. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 240V AC power in hazardous locations from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* Portable Power Distribution Purpose and UseThe EPL-TX-500-250V-MCB-2XLV.2X10AB-24V explosion proof power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 24 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 240 volt line-in power via 25 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord terminated with a 250V, 20-amp explosion proof male plug. On the secondary side, operators connect to two 24V outlets for 24V equipment. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers. Operation: A 25` 16/3 SOOW cord terminated with a 250V, 20-amp explosion proof male plug brings 240V AC to the 2.5-amp main circuit breaker panel and passes power to the explosion proof transformer. The Class I, Division 1 and 2 transformer steps down 240V AC to 24V AC and passes power to a total of two, 20-amp explosion proof 24V outlets. The two outlets are protected by two, 10-amp breakers. The EPL-TX-500-250V-MCB-2XLV.2X10AB-24V is perfect for use with explosion proof drop lights. (Sold Separetly) **Drop Lights Sold Separately** Mounting holes on the EPL-TX-500-250V-MCB-2XLV.2X10AB-24V convenient for hooking drop lights. (Sold Separetly) Protective Construction: This compact power distribution system is designed for portability and convenience as well as durability and is mounted to a wheeled, non-sparking aluminum frame for added protection. Two solid tires allow operators to wheel the unit around the work site with ease. This explosion proof power distribution system comes with hooks and openings around the frame for storing and transporting equipment, such as LED drop lights, cords and etc. Certification: Larson Electronics is a UL 1640 panel shop and certified to build portable power distribution systems. All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request. Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground. ~Please check all motor loads for dual rated motors that will work 208 or 240.~ Applications: This explosion proof power distribution system is ideal for flammable work sites and applications including but not limited to, petrol processing plants, oil and gas facilities, shipyards, confined spaces and more.
