This 150-watt unit features five, 3-foot T8 UV fluorescent lamps, housed in a 304 stainless steel housing. Consisting of five, 3-foot T8 fluorescent UV lamps, the 150-watt unit offers 254nm UVC output with a wavelength range of 200nm to 280nm. Radiant intensity is 105 uW/cm2 per lamp. This UV fixture operates on 120-277V AC, 50/60 Hz (ballast voltage) and features a G13 medium bi-pin cap base. The lamp has an 8,000-hour useful lifespan. The UV light's housing is constructed of 304 stainless steel. This UV fixture is a Risk Group 3 UV product. UV radiation from the unit can damage the skin and eyes without proper protection. Operators should avoid exposure to the eyes and skin when the unit is unshielded (for use in enclosed environments only). In the event of lamp breakage, it is recommended to ventilate the room for 30 minutes and clean the area with gloves (not a vacuum cleaner). Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
