Designed for temporary installations, this 72-watt unit features two, 4-foot UV fluorescent lamps, housed in a 304 stainless steel housing. Consisting of two, 4-foot fluorescent UV lamps, the 72-watt unit offers 254nm UVC output with a wavelength range of 200nm to 280nm. Radiant intensity is 145 uW/cm2 per lamp. This UV fixture operates on 120V AC, 50/60 Hz and features a G13 medium bi-pin cap base. The UV lamps contain an 8,000-hour useful lifespan. The UV light's housing is constructed of 304 stainless steel, with zinc-coated hubs. A wire guard located at the front of the fixture protects the lamps from accidental breakage. UV radiation from the unit can damage the skin and eyes without proper protection. Operators should avoid exposure to the eyes and skin when the unit is unshielded (for use in enclosed environments only). In the event of lamp breakage, it is recommended to ventilate the room for 30 minutes and clean the area with gloves (not a vacuum cleaner). Contents should be stored in a sealed plastic bag and brought to a waste/recycling facility. 5-15 Straight Blade Plug 15 Amp / 125V Rated L5-15 Twist Lock Plug 15 Amp / 125V Rated Flying Leads / Pigtail Wires Wiring/Plug: This unit is equipped with 15 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground or NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Mounting: The IND-LP-CH-SS-48-2L-UVC-WG-120V-15C features a chain hanging mount system for installation on ceilings, inside vehicles and over work stations. Four 18" safety cables with snap hooks at every corner connects to two S hooks at both ends of the fixture. Operators can mount the lamp using the four safety cables or combine the ends to form a single mounting point using the S hooks. Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
