The Larson Electronics EPD-DB-1G-D is an explosion proof device box that provides explosion proof protection for devices used in hazardous locations. This explosion proof box is Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups C, D, Class I Zones 1 & 2, Groups IIB & IIA, Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 Groups E, F & G and Class III Divisions 1 & 2 rated for hazardous locations. The EPD-DB-1G-D explosion proof device box offers protection from explosive hazards and is suitable for use in environments where combustible dusts and particulates may be present. The entire box is constructed of durable copper-free aluminum alloy and can be easily mounted via the surface mounting tabs found at two corners of the box. Operators can choose between two hub sizes, 1/2" or 3/4" and either a feed through or dead end configuration. A ground flange mates the cover to the device box for a tight seal. An internal ground screw provides operators a way to attach any grounding wire to the box for protection against electrical charges. Applications: Petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas, and other processing facilities where hazardous substances are handled or stored.
