The Larson Electronics EPCO-20A-3P4W-DA explosion proof power connector outlet provides durable and secure weatherproof power connection for portable or stationary electrical devices and equipment in locations where equipment is susceptible to wet and corrosive environments. This 3-pole, 4-wire connector is approved for use within Class I, Division 1 & 2 environments.This 20 amp rated power receptacle is ideal for operators seeking a high quality, wet area rated power receptacle suitable for use in industrial and manufacturing applications. This unit`s power receptacle is constructed of copper free aluminum. Any arcing is safely contained with the interior of the outlet. The receptacle contacts are deep recessed to avoid accidental contact and will not be energized by non explosion proof plugs to preserve explosion proof protection in hazardous environments. Ordinary location pin and sleeve cord caps will NOT activate this explosion proof connector.This unit is designed to withstand wet and corrosive conditions such as those found in docks and shipyards and comes with a spring loaded receptacle door to prevent ingress of water and contaminants when the unit is not in use. A backplate with carrying handle allows for easy transport within the jobsite.The EPCO-20A-3P4W-DA power connector is constructed of non sparking aluminum. The internal receptacle pin contacts are constructed of brass and designed for delayed reaction to prevent arcing during connection. The plug receptacle is deeply recessed to prevent accidental contacts and designed for twist lock plug insertion to provide secure connections. The EPCO-20A-DA series plugs are designed to lock into our EPP-3W4P-20A connectors by pushing the plug into the receptacle, moving the sliding lock to the side, then pushing the plug in the rest of the way to fully seat and lock it into place. A neoprene seal fitted inside the connector receptacle seals against the plug when inserted to provide positive sealing against water ingress. A sealoff at the base of the unit completes the Class I, Division 1 rating.Inter-Compatibility: These plugs are are cross-interchangeable with Appleton Powertite, Crouse Hinds Arktite, and Hubbell-Killark KR series plugs and receptacles.
