The Larson Electronics EPCS-PL-1X-G Explosion Proof Box Cover w/ Green LED Pilot Light is recommended for use in Class I, II and III rated environments. Equipped with a green, LED pilot light, this NEMA-rated unit is constructed of copper-free cast aluminum alloy and contains two, 3/4" NPT hubs (feed-through configuration). The EPCS-PL-1X-G is an explosion proof control indicator box for combustible sites. This unit contains a 120V AC 50/60 Hz, green LED pilot light with a clear lens. Nameplate marking must be specified. Contact blocks are heavy-duty and rated 600V AC maximum. The explosion proof indicator station is constructed of copper-free cast aluminum alloy. The NEMA-rated unit is suitable for use in Class I, II and III rated flammable facilities and environments ranging between -20¡C to +40¡C. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Wiring: The EPCS-PL-1X-G is offered in a feed-through configuration and features two, 3/4" NPT hubs. One 3/4" NPT hub is located at the north side and one 3/4" NPT hub is located at the south side of the non-factory sealed unit (requires conduit seal fitting). Mounting: This device contains two mounting holes at the upper left and lower right corner of the enclosure for surface mounting applications. Operators may also mount the explosion proof indicator box on conduits.
